Recovery From War

For the refugees and displaced persons of recent conflicts in Central Asia, life is hard and the return to normalcy fraught with difficulties. The recovery process goes beyond the rebuilding of city infrastructures to helping war-torn communities get going again. With assistance from the UN Development Programme, and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, communities are restoring power and striving to rebuild homes and hospitals. Helping the returning refugees adapt to post war conditions in Southern Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Ossetia will be harder, particularly for the children.
