UN Helps Traumatized Chechen Children
The psychological trauma suffered by Chechen children as victims of war is deep and will probably lead to irreversible consequences. UNICEF and non-governmental organizations are helping to treat the children, many of whom are living in camps for displaced Chechens in Ingushetia. Psychologists and other experts are working hard with the children to help them come to terms with what they've witnessed and suffered.
