Measles Immunization Campaign In Uganda
Measles, a disease that can be prevented by vaccine, accounts for over 800,000 deaths a year worldwide. Over half of these deaths are in Africa. As part of the global effort to combat measles deaths, Uganda has launched a massive immunization campaign with help from the World Health Organization, UNICEF and other groups.
