UNESCO Assists The San Communities In Namibia

The San people are a disadvantaged minority in south-western Africa. Thirty-thousand of them can be found in Namibia. The traditional skills they relied upon to survive are now disappearing. The government, with the assistance of UNESCO, is training these communities in new income-generating skills. They hope that this will improve their living conditions and end their isolation.
