Unicef Looks After Angola Street Children

After almost a quarter of a century of conflict the Angolan economy is in disarray. The majority of the population lives in poverty. Entire families were destroyed and thousands of children left homeless as a result of war. The UN Children’s Fund is working with the Angolan authorities and local organizations to provide basic social services to these street children. The children are provided with vocational training to enable them to become productive citizens.
