1) The opening ceremony of the 2021 Seoul UN Peacekeeping Ministerial includes welcoming remarks by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Korea, the President of the Republic of Korea and the United Nations Secretary-General.
2) The first session of the 2021 Seoul UN Peacekeeping Ministerial on Sustaining Peace is chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and includes a keynote address by the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The keynote will be followed by remarks and pledges announced by Member States.
3) The second session of the 2021 Seoul UN Peacekeeping Ministerial on Partnerships, Training, and Capacity Building is chaired by the Under-Secretary-General for Operational Support, Atul Khare, and includes a keynote address by the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Korea. The keynote will be followed by remarks and pledges announced by Member States.

The event, hosted by the Republic of Korea, is taking place on 7 and 8 December. More than 100 Member States and intergovernmental organizations are meeting to give political support and pledge resources to improve peacekeeping operations, in line with Action for Peacekeeping+ (A4P+) priorities. A4P+ encompasses seven priority areas and is designed to enhance implementation of the Declaration of Shared Commitments on UN Peacekeeping Operations.
A senior delegation led by the Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, the Under-Secretary-General for Operational Support, Atul Khare, and the Under-Secretary-General for Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance, Catherine Pollard, is representing the UN.
