The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) will host one of six sequential launches to present the Global Humanitarian Overview 2022 in London.
The Global Humanitarian Overview
is the world's most comprehensive, authoritative, and evidence-based overview
of the current and future trends in humanitarian action. The launch in London
will focus on the critical role of innovation, data and technology in
mitigating climate risks and their humanitarian impacts. It will take place as
part of broader efforts on the increasingly widespread impact of climate change
risks on humanitarian action and how new advances in data, innovation and
technology can make humanitarian action more efficient. It will also serve to
amplify the voices of affected people and encourage partners to contribute
generously to humanitarian operations.
