The UN Secretary-General-appointed IGF Leadership Panel will discuss issues on the agenda at the IGF's annual meeting in Kyoto (8-12 October 2023), including AI, Digital Cooperation, and Digital Rights & Freedoms, as well as the importance of the multi-stakeholder approach to these complex topics. Speakers: - Vint Cerf, Chair of the IGF Leadership Panel, Co-Designer of TCP/IP protocols and architecture of the Internet  (known as a "Father of the Internet") - Maria Ressa, Vice-Chair of the IGF Leadership Panel, 2021 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) serves to bring people together from various stakeholder groups as equals, in discussions on public policy issues relating to the Internet. While there is no negotiated outcome, the IGF informs and inspires those with policy-making power in both the public and private sectors. At their annual meeting delegates discuss, exchange information and share good practices with each other. The IGF facilitates a common understanding of how to maximize Internet opportunities and address risks and challenges that arise.
