Summary
Building on the momentum of the SDG Stimulus, Bridgetown, the New Global Financing Pact, the G-20.
Description

When it comes to financing the SDGs, we need "constructive noise with solutions." The global economy is facing multiple shocks that are threatening to further reverse progress on the SDGs and deepen inequalities.

Building on the SDG Stimulus, Bridgetown, New Global financing Pact–Paris, and   G-20 discussions, how do we break out of the bubble and scale action and results?

The session will bring together world leaders, development banks, the private sector, foundations, and civil society. The discussion will focus on debt, cost of capital, tax, integrating civil society, special drawing rights, and position financing as a cross-cutting solution to achieving the SDGs.

THE WORLD NEEDS A HALFTIME TALK

The UN Office for Partnerships is working with Project Everyone, a not-for-profit communications agency co-founded by SDG Advocate and the screenwriter Richard Curtis, in collaboration with artist Es Devlin, to create the SDG Pavilion, a unique convening space and art installation.

We will come together at the United Nations General Assembly from 15–22 September 2023 for the SDG Summit and a full week of Halftime Talks in the SDG Pavilion to accelerate action for people for planet.

The SDG Pavilion will host a series of Halftime Talks about mobilizing the world to keep the promise of the SDGs.
