Building on the PBC Strategic Action Plan on Youth and Peacebuilding and the progress made by the Commission since its adoption, this meeting offers an important opportunity to further strengthen the Commission's efforts in mainstreaming the YPS agenda in all processes related to peacebuilding and sustaining peace and supporting the critical role of young women and men in peacebuilding.
Description
The meeting will provide a platform to facilitate exchanges on the importance of regional efforts in advancing the institutionalization of the YPS agenda and supporting national and local efforts to align it with their policies on peacebuilding and sustaining peace. It will further explore opportunities for greater collaboration among young peacebuilders and key peacebuilding actors working on YPS at regional, national, and local levels, including regional and subregional organizations, Member States and civil society organizations.
