The objective is to lay the groundwork for this topic to be raised in the Open Consultations by Member State delegations, UN entities, representatives of international, regional, and civil society organizations, as well as academia and industry. Opening Remarks will be provided by High Representative for Disarmament Affairs Ms. Izumi Nakamitsu. After a series of short briefings from key partners and practitioners, participants will be invited to ask questions and discuss. A light lunch will be provided.
