IMRF, Lactation Rooms & other topics – PGA Spokesperson…

In preparation for the start of the International Migration Review Forum, the President of the General Assembly, Abdulla Shahid, this morning presided over an informal interactive multi-stakeholder hearing.

Within the hour, we will inaugurate the refurbished lactation rooms at the UN Headquarters. This project is a joint collaboration between the President’s Office, the Department of Operational Support, and the Governments of El Salvador and New Zealand.

In Dubai, today is the World is One News (WION) Global Summit on the theme “Mission Peace.” WION is an Indian English language news channel headquartered in New Delhi, where President Shahid delivered keynote remarks.

Turning to President Shahid’s schedule. He has a few additional bilaterals… He met this morning with the Prime Minister of Viet Nam Pham Minh Chinh. President Shahid is also meeting with Ambassador Christian Wenaweser, Permanent Representative of Liechtenstein and with the Coordination Committee of Special Procedures in the afternoon.
