Description
The event will officially launch the Freshwater Challenge with the aim of creating political momentum and mobilising action to restore degraded freshwater ecosystems around the world.
The objectives of the Challenge are:
- Provide the evidence needed at country level to effectively target measures and funding
- Identify priority areas for the 30x30 biodiversity restoration target and update relevant national strategies and plans
- Mobilise resources and set up financial mechanisms to implement the targets
