United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken will chair a Global Food Security Call to Action meeting of foreign ministers from approximately 30 regionally diverse countries to review the urgent humanitarian and development needs and then identify steps to address global food security, nutrition, and resilience.
Description
The United Nations Secretary-General and other senior UN officials will be invited to update ministers on the spike in food insecurity, the resulting global impact, and the steps the UN is taking in response. Ministers will be invited to speak in sessions focused on humanitarian needs and longer-term development efforts required to save lives and build resilience for the future.
