The Permanent Missions of Austria, Czechia and Slovakia to the United Nations are organizing a side event on March 9, in the margins of the sixty-seventh session of the Commission on the Status of Women, in order to strengthen the safety and protection of women journalists by combatting online threats and harassment.

The event will be an opportunity to:
- Raise awareness of main challenges concerning harassment and threats women journalists are facing in the digital environment,
- Provide positive examples of how UN Member States and other stakeholders combat this negative phenomenon.
