Sierra Leone hosted United Nations Peacekeeping operations from 1998 to 2005. The success of those missions inspired Sierra Leoneans to help others navigate the difficult path to peace. Many now proudly deploy as UN peacekeepers to other countries in need of international support. Meet UN Police officer Ann James from Sierra Leone who served with the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).
