The World Food Forum (WFF) is a youth-led movement and network to transform our food systems to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, in alignment with the United Nations Food Systems Summit. It features a range of activities and events including Youth Action Assembly, Innovation Labs, Educational Activities, Cooking, Film and Music. The first WFF flagship event launched in October 2021, showcasing the voices and ideas of youth through a range of Youth Action Assembly side events on 3-4 October.
The work of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in nutrition is aligned with the call to action from the youth constituency at the United Nations Food Systems Pre-Summit 2021. Its vision is a world where all people are eating healthy diets from efficient, inclusive, resilient and sustainable agri-food systems. This vision can only be realized when all people, including youth, are eating healthy diets and working to enable healthy diets for all. This event presents FAO's work in nutrition (highlighting youth involvement), and engages youth at FAO and beyond, to synergize our collective actions to transform agri-food systems to enable healthy diets for all.
This WFF side event was organized by FAO's Nutrition Division.
