The LDC Summit will be an opportunity for the LDC leaders to exchange views on how they can collectively address shared challenges and come up with meaningful solutions. They will also provide clear directions on how to ensure effective and timely implementation of the goals, commitments and deliverables enshrined in the Doha Programme of Action for LDCs for the Decade 2022-2031 and the Doha Political Declaration.

9:00-9:10              Opening Remarks by His Excellency Mr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, President of the Republic of Malawi;

9.10-9.20              Special Address by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar;

9.20-9.30              Welcome Remarks by Mr. António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations;

9:30-11:50           Remarks by the Head of State/Government and Head of Delegation of LDCs [from the lectern];
