The Global Goals Thematic Business Forum calls upon business leaders to take full action in integrating the SDGs into core business strategies. Sanda Ojiambo (CEO & Executive Director of the UN Global Compact) and Maher Nasser (Director of the Outreach Division, UN Department of Global Communications) will be invited to speak as well as female leaders from core industries to address gender equality and inclusive society. Panel discussions will address the role of companies in adopting sustainable practices to tackle and prevent child labor. The Forum will also be an opportunity for Partners to have meaningful conversations that foster knowledge transfer exploring how linking "ESG (Environmental Social Governance)" to corporate sustainability action and supporting SMEs (Small Medium Enterprise) and digitalization is essential to achieve the SDGs.
Expo hosts a series of Thematic Business Forums (TBFs) as part of the Thrive Together track across each of the 10 Theme Weeks. The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) will collaborate with Expo 2020 Dubai in the delivery of these Forums. Held at the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC), each Thematic Business Forum is designed to ensure that International Participants, Commercial Partners, and business audience gain valuable insights, engage in meaningful discussions, and expand their business networks.
The Global Goals Business Forum taking place is among one of the TBFs. The UN Global Compact has agreed to be the content-curator for the Global Goals Thematic Business Forum taking place on 18 January during Global Goals Week 15-22 January of which the UN is an in-association partner.
