World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), 21 March, is a global awareness day that has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. On 21 March the global Down syndrome community creates a single voice advocating for the rights, inclusion, and well-being of people with Down syndrome. For WDSD 2023, we call for people and organisations around the world to be With Us Not For Us.

People with disabilities have the right to be treated fairly and have the same opportunities as everyone else, working With others to improve their lives.

The Down Syndrome International network is campaigning for the right to legal capacity, supported decision-making and easy-to-understand communication.

We welcome you to our 12th WDSD Conference, in which self-advocates, supporters, government and UN officials and NGO representatives will share knowledge, experience, and good practice from countries around the world.
