Observance of the International Day of Family…

The International Day of Family Remittances (IDFR) was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly (A/RES/72/281) and observed every year on 16 June. The IDFR recognizes of the tireless abnegation of over 200 million migrant workers who send money home for the wellbeing of their families in communities of origin, and who have demonstrated unprecedented resilience in these times of crisis. The Permanent Missions of the Philippines and Guatemala are co-hosting this year's observance event as part of the IDFR 2021 campaign "Recovery and resilience through digital and financial inclusion."
