Conversations on sport's growing power and values on global sustainability and solidarity. United Nations and the Asahi Shimbun join forces to showcase expert and influential voices at "SDG ZONE at TOKYO".

The session focuses on changing mindsets, environments, and approaches to achieve a diverse and inclusive society through the speakers' journeys to promote gender equality in the sports sector. Speakers: Aya Medany, Member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Athletes' Commission and Olympian (modern pentathlon); Etsuko Ogasawara, Executive Director, Japanese Center for Research on Women in Sport (JCRWS) at Juntendo University; and Fumino Sugiyama, Co-Chair of Tokyo Rainbow Pride and member of the Executive Board of Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC). Moderator: Kosuke Inagaki, Staff Writer of the Asahi Shimbun. SDG ZONE at TOKYO is organized by the United Nations Department of Global Communications (DGC), United Nations Information Centre Tokyo (UNIC Tokyo), and the Asahi Shimbun Company as  the first of the SDG Media Zone series organized fully by DGC's office at the country level.
