The international shipping sector urgently needs to decarbonize and get to zero emissions by 2050. Zero carbon fuels such as hydrogen and ammonia are being increasingly trialled, but will require a significant amount of renewable energy -with some of this coming from offshore wind. Green corridors are emerging between ports, driven by public-private partnerships, to create zero emissions transport lanes.
