On 29 July 2021, the Outreach Programme on the transatlantic slave trade and slavery hosted an online discussion on Episode 5, "Resistance" of the series, Enslaved: The Lost History of the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Panellists discussed the history of resistance to enslavement and slavery. The panel included Peter Flegel, Executive Director of the Federal Anti-Racism Secretariat of Canada, Yaron Niski; Simcha Jacobovici; Kramer Wimberley; Saladin Allah, descendent of Josiah Henson, who escaped enslavement and found freedom in Canada; John Polacek, an expert on sunken ships in the Great Lakes; and Reverend Kelley Aughenbaugh, St. John's Episcopal Church, Ohio City.
