The International labour Conference sets the International labour standards and the broad policies of the ILO. It meets annually in Geneva. Often called an international parliament of labour, the Conference is also a forum for discussion of key social and labour questions.
The opening sitting of the 110th ILC will elect the Conference President and Vice-Presidents, adopt the operational arrangements for the conduct of the 110th ILC Session and the constitution of committees. It will also hear followed by opening addresses of the President of the Conference, the Employers' group and Workers' Group Chairpersons as well as the opening statement by the ILO Director-General and the presentation by the Chairperson of the Governing Body of her report.
