UN Staff 1% for Development Funds
This 3-minute video provides an introduction to UN Staff 1% for Development Funds, each of which makes micro-grants to community projects proposed and led by the community for which the project will serve.
By funding village libraries, day care center training, honey bee-keeping, and other locally-impactful projects, each UN Staff 1% Fund continues to change lives for the better. Members make monetary contributions, and select projects based on their potential to become self-sustaining, and the requirement that each be led by local contacts who supervise and monitor the development initiatives.
