There is no credible path to net-zero emissions without a significant and rapid expansion of clean energy technologies. In this session experts will discuss clean energy advances, some of the challenges of the energy transition, and the importance of treating renewable energy technology as a global public good.

Global public debt reached an all-time high of $92 trillion in 2022. 37 out of 69 of the world's poorest countries were either at high risk or already in debt distress, highlighting the inherent inequality in the international financial system. The session will look at the drivers of the global debt crisis as well as solutions, including the UN Secretary-General's call for an SDG Stimulus and a deep reform of the global financial architecture.
