United Nations Climate Ambition Summit 2023

The latest scientific assessment by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has once again highlighted the urgency to act on the climate crisis. To accelerate action by all, and hear from "first movers and doers," Secretary-General António Guterres is convening a Climate Ambition Summit at UN Headquarters on the side of the General Assembly Debate. The Summit represents a critical political milestone to demonstrate that there is collective global will to accelerate the pace and scale of a just transition to a more equitable renewable-energy based, climate-resilient global economy.
