Special Event in Observance of International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Daniela Bas (left), Director of the Division for Social Policy and Developement at the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) shakes hands with members of the American Indian Community from South Dakota at the start of the special event on ""Building Future Societies for All"", held in observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (3 December).
The event was co-organized by the Permanent Missions of Bulgaria, Ecuador, Italy, Japan and the Republic of Korea, the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and the NGO Committee on Ageing.
