General Assembly Adopts Resolution Declaring the Indian Ocean as a Zone of Peace

The General Assembly adopted a resolution on "Implementation of the Declaration of the Indian Ocean as a Zone of Peace" following a report of the First Committee during the sixty-second plenary meeting of the 72nd session of the General Assembly. The resolution was adopted with a vote of 132 in favour, 3 against and 46 abstentions.
