General Assembly Resumes Emergency Special Session on Palestine

The General Assembly votes on an amendment to the resolution on "Protection of civilians and upholding legal and humanitarian obligations" during the 45th plenary meeting of the resumed 10th Emergency Special Session of the General Assembly on "Illegal Israeli actions in occupied East Jerusalem and the rest of the Occupied Palestinian Territory". The amendment received 84 votes in favour, 25 abstentions and 62 against. The amendment was not adopted having failed to obtain the required two thirds majority.
