Security Council Extends Mandate of UNAMA

Naseer Ahmed Faiq, Minister Counsellor of the Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nations, addresses the Security Council meeting on the situation in Afghanistan.

The Council unanimously adopted Resolution 2727 (2024) extending the mandate of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) until 17 March 2025, as defined in resolution 2626 (2022).
