Permanent Representative of Mozambique Briefs Press

Pedro Comissário Afonso (at podium), Permanent Representative of Mozambique to the United Nations, on behalf of the E10 Group, briefs the press on the adoption of Resolution 2728 (2024). The resolution demands an immediate ceasefire for the month of Ramadan respected by all parties leading to a lasting sustainable ceasefire, and also demands the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, as well as ensuring humanitarian access to address medical and other humanitarian needs in the entire Gaza Strip.

Also present are the other representatives of the ten elected members of the Security Council (E-10).
