Opening of 23rd Session of Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues

Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim (left), elected Chair of 23rd Session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, takes over from Dario Jose Mejia Montalvo, Chair of 22nd Session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues and Leader of the National Indigenous Organization of Colombia, during the opening of the 23rd Session of Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues on the theme: "Enhancing Indigenous Peoples' right to self-determination in the context of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples: emphasizing the voices of Indigenous youth".
