Security Council Extends Mandate of UN Mission in South Sudan

Security Council adopts Resolution 2729 (2024) extending the mandate of United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) until 30 April 2025. The resolution was adopted with 13 votes in favour, none against and 2 abstentions (China, Russian Federation).
