Secretary-General Visits Uzbekistan

Secretary-General António Guterres (left) receives the Order of "Oliy Darajali Dustlik" for the active promotion of solidarity and unity in the world; increasing the efficiency of the UN as an organization; as well as strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN.

The Secretary-General is on a visit in Central Asia. His first stop is Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Secretary-General will then continue to Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. The Secretary-General will hold meetings with each country's Heads of States and other senior government officials. He will also visit projects related to climate change and speak with local communities and youth activists.
