General Assembly Meets on Organization of Work and Strengthening of UN System

A Representative from Uganda introduces two draft resolutions on "United Nations Decade on Combating Sand and Dust Storms (2025–2034)" and "Further modalities of the third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries" during the 98th plenary meeting of the General Assembly. Both resolutions were adopted.

The meeting dealt with several issues on the agenda, such as: integrated and coordinated implementation of and follow-up to the outcomes of the major United Nations conferences and summits in the economic, social and related fields; organization of work; follow-up to the second United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries; and strengthening of the United Nations system.
