Security Council Meets on Situation in Afghanistan

Tanja Fajon (left at table), Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and President of the Security Council for the month of September, chairs the Security Council meeting on the situation in Afghanistan. The Council heard a report of the Secretary-General on the situation in Afghanistan and its implications for international peace and security. At right is Claudia Banz, Director of the Security Council Affairs Division of the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA).
