Coffee Production in Laos
A UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) project participant spreads coffee beans at a coffee nursery. UNODC, in partnership with the government of Laos, has worked to promote alternative livelihoods for local farmers in Houaphanh in eastern Laos, and other provinces particularly affected by the cultivation of poppy, from which opium is made.
