Security Council Meets on Situation Concerning Democratic Republic of Congo

Linda Thomas-Greenfield (left at table), Permanent Representative of the United States to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for the Month of December, chairs the Security Council meeting on the situation concerning the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Council heard a Report of the Secretary-General on the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO). At right is Claudia Banz, Director of the Security Council Affairs Division of the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA).
