General Assembly Holds Election of Members of Economic and Social Council

A wide view of the 49th plenary meeting of the General Assembly. The Assembly held elections of members of the Economic and Social Council. At dais and on screens are François Jackman, Vice-President of the seventy-ninth session of the United Nations General Assembly and Permanent Representative of Barbados to the United Nations.

The Assembly further discussed strengthening of the coordination of humanitarian and disaster relief assistance of the United Nations, and assistance to the Palestinian people.
