General Assembly Holds Election of Members of Economic and Social Council

François Jackman (left), Vice-President of the seventy-ninth session of the United Nations General Assembly and Permanent Representative of Barbados to the United Nations, chairs the 49th plenary meeting of the General Assembly. The Assembly held elections of members of the Economic and Social Council. The Assembly further discussed strengthening of the coordination of humanitarian and disaster relief assistance of the United Nations, and assistance to the Palestinian people.
