Security Council Meets on Maintenance of Peace and Security of Ukraine
The Security Council votes on resolution resolution 2774 (2025) stating that "the Security Council implores a swift end to the conflict and further urges a lasting peace between Ukraine and the Russian Federation" during the meeting on maintenance of peace and security of Ukraine. The resolution was adopted with 10 votes in favour, none against and 5 abstentions (Denmark, France, Greece, Slovenia and United Kingdom).

The Council first voted on five different amendments, three put forth by the European Union and two by the Russian Federation. All five were rejected, either having failed to obtain the required amount of (9) votes in favour, or by a veto from a permanent member of the Council.
