Observance of International Women's Day 2025 "For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment"

A wide view of the General Assembly Hall during the United Nations observance of International Women's Day (IWD) 2025. This year's theme is "For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment". On screen at right is IWD host Sade Baderinwa, ABC Eyewitness News anchor.

International Women's Day (IWD) has been around for over a hundred years, as have many of the issues still impacting women's advancement. Since 1911, IWD belongs to all who care about women's equality.
