Secretary-General Attends Opening of European Council

Secretary-General António Guterres (left) meets with Luc Frieden, Prime Minister of Luxembourg in Brussels.

At the invitation of António Costa (behind the Secretary-General), President of the European Council, the Secretary-General is taking part in a working lunch with the Heads of State and Government of the European Union, at the opening of the European Council.

While in Brussels, the Secretary-General is also scheduled to have a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Belgium, Bart De Wever.
