General Assembly Holds 69th Plenary Meeting

The General Assembly votes on a draft amendment to a resolution on "Scope, modalities, format and organization of the high-level
meeting on the thirtieth anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women"during the the 69th plenary meeting of the Assembly. The amendment was not adopted with 15 votes in favour; 73 against; and 46 abstentions.

The meeting dealt with a number of items on the agenda such as integrated and coordinated implementation of and follow-up to the outcomes of the major United Nations conferences and summits in the economic, social and related fields;  Organization of work; Advancement of women; and  Eightieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
