General Assembly Holds Election of Members of Economic and Social Council

Philemon Yang (left at dais and on screens), President of the seventy-ninth session of the United Nations General Assembly, chairs the 75th plenary meeting of the General Assembly. The Assembly held election of members of the Economic and Social Council.

The Economic and Social Council has 54 members. 18 members are elected by the General Assembly each year for a three-year term.
