General Assembly Holds Election of Members of Economic and Social Council

A delegate from Guyana casts her vote during the 75th plenary meeting of the General Assembly. The Assembly held election of members of the Economic and Social Council. At right is Ruth de Miranda, Director of the General Assembly and Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Affairs Division.

The Economic and Social Council has 54 members. 18 members are elected by the General Assembly each year for a three-year term.
