Secretary-General António Guterres (right) meets with Steve Reed, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The Secretary-General is attending the 2025 United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice, France (9 June - 13 June). The 2025 United Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development has the overarching theme "Accelerating action and mobilizing all actors to conserve and sustainably use the ocean".
