General Assembly Meets on Illegal Israeli Actions in Occupied East Jerusalem and Occupied Palestinian Territory

Héctor José Gómez Hernández, Permanent Representative of Spain to the United Nations, introduces the draft resolution during the 60th plenary meeting of the General Assembly on illegal Israeli actions in occupied East Jerusalem and the rest of the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

The Assembly later voted for the resolution that demanded that Israel, the occupying Power, immediately end the blockade in Gaza, open all border crossings and ensure that aid reaches the Palestinian civilian population throughout the Gaza Strip immediately and at scale. The Resolution was adopted with 149 votes in favour, 12 against, and 19 abstentions.
